June News

In English this time! At last I have managed to add a photo again. Thankyou Jon for the interesting views of the Priory taken during the last recorder course. Since then we had a wonderful day at Lamalou in Isolde's lovely garden (see Iris' very kind message). Everyone was appreciative; it was a good exchange between players and audience.

The dates have been decided for the Automn recorder courses.
23 - 24 August
25 - 28 September
8 - 9 November
The programme will be decided soon and published. There is already interest for the August course, so sign up as soon as possible. It will take place at Mauroul in the commune of Saint Julien. A pretty village with a lovely chapel (cool in the August heat and spacious).

'Sesquialtera' played at Saint Michel de Grandmont on Sunday, but we were dodging the drips from the leaking roof. A surprising number of people turned out despite the rain. We played with Conrad on harpsichord, a varied baroque programme and very enjoyable to play. The Pepusch from the last course was on the programme and the encore was the Vitali Ciacona which we'll be playing on the 22nd.

The next event is the 22nd June at the Priory of Saint Julien for the end of year concert. Rehearsals start at 10h (RV at 9h30 for coffee and chat).Informal concert in costume at 17h30 for the villagers and friends.

I will publish the programme and write in French next time!
